01.10.2007 / Major changes taking place .. SVN version not stable

Work has begun on a total rewrite on the User interface and the Presentation Layer of VCD-db.
It is being implemented with the MVC model, using the Smarty template engine for the UI rendering.
While this transformation is taking place the SVN version of VCD-db will not be stable for those of you
who have been getting the latest updates by d/l the 0.90-svn version.

When this work has been done, making custom site templates will be so much easier,
mod_rewrite will be supported for search engine friendlier urls and
all links and images will be in absolute url format  and the need for enabling php short tag will also be un-needed.

Bare in mind that this in only 1 of the new features of the 0.90 release ..
When the SVN release becomes stable again, I'll inform you people of it ...
