Have same imdb info on more then one movie.

I found some bad stuff VCD-db cause when fetch from imdb.
Some of my user is super careful that right info is for his film.

Lets say the have a Swedish version on a film, imdb id number is
same as already register film and the set a new cover to this new movie
and new title.
Then the first user delete his movie, now all imdb info on de second new
movie has no imdb info left.

Or if user has a unique movie box and take picture on it and
Wants to manual register a move, then the cant register own info like imdb do

If the id number was like this when it stores in VCD-db
0090110,af034210 (id,rnd) and only use all info before “,”
for links and stuff, then movie have unique imdb info stored.

In the current VCDDb architecture, there's no way to have the same movie with the same data source, that breaks the relations in the database.

But if I understand you correctly, removing one copy of a movie removes all of the movie info for the second copy, too? If that's the case, that's a big bug and wasn't reported earlier...

No it is the opposite I mean, Have same imdb info on more then one movie.
Not the same movie with the same data source as you think.

Yes only thing that’s hold imdb intact is if I remove me from a move and
some one else is owner to. If I change title on my movie and then remove it
then the first owner has all imdb removed.

VCD-db is not checking if another move title exists with same imdb id before remove imdb info.


Made some test

First register Stargate SG-1http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118480/
But this move is a series with 10 Seasons so a register 10 new
movies and IMDB only links info on Seasons so it is same id.
This move has different covers for every Season so I import new one.
And a give a new title ‘Stargate SG-1 Seasons one’ and so on…

When all 10 Seasons was register I remove
First register Stargate SG-1http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118480/
But then all imdb info was removed from all 10 Seasons

Then a removed one movie on SG-1 and register it again with imdb fetch.
Now all other 9 Seasons has info again

Yes, you did exactly what is not supported in VCDDb

One source (imdb, amazon) and id pair can only relate to one VCD movie. Which can then have multiple copies, but you can't have two separate VCD movies relate to the same imdb number.

That's just how VCDDb is currently made and won't change soon.
